Engineer Now! announced as Platinum Sponsor of Skills for Security

SKILLS FOR Security – the dedicated national provider of training for the security and fire sectors and a champion of apprenticeships – has announced that Engineer Now! is confirmed as a further Platinum Sponsor for the organisation.

The new partnership brings together two organisations wholly committed to strengthening the security and fire sectors, duly supporting both the development of skilled engineers and helping businesses to access additional and compliant resources as and when required.

By aligning Skills for Security’s training expertise with Engineer Now!’s platform, the collaboration is focused on supporting employers with greater visibility and access to qualified subcontract resource in order to meet fluctuating project demands, while also maintaining high standards of compliance, professionalism and workforce integrity.

Natural step

Jonathan Wakerley, founder and chair of Engineer Now!, said: “Partnering with Skills for Security is a natural step for us. At Engineer Now!, we’re focused on solving one of the industry’s biggest challenges, which is access to skilled and compliant engineers when and where they’re needed most.”

Wakerley continued: “Skills for Security plays a vital role in developing the next generation of talent. By working together, we’re helping to strengthen the entire ecosystem: from training and development through to real and on-demand job opportunities.”

Further, Wakerley noted: “This partnership is about more than sponsorship. It’s about creating a clearer and faster pathway between qualified engineers and the companies that need them, while in parallel raising standards across the industry through compliance, trust and better access to work.”

Support for employers

David Scott, managing director at Skills for Security, responded: “We are delighted to welcome Engineer Now! as a Platinum Sponsor of Skills for Security. Our priority is, and always will be, to support employers in developing and retaining skilled engineers within their businesses. Partnerships such as this one complement that by providing employers with greater access to trusted and compliant subcontract support when additional resource is needed.”

In addition, Scott stated: “By working together, we can help businesses to meet demand more effectively, while continuing to uphold the highest standards of training, employment and professional development across the sector.”

As a Platinum Sponsor, Engineer Now! will support Skills for Security’s mission to develop a competent and sustainable workforce, while also contributing towards a more agile and responsive supply of skilled engineers to support employers across the UK.
