NSI to sponsor Apprentice of the Year category at British Security Awards

THE NATIONAL Security Inspectorate (NSI) is once again supporting the British Security Industry Association’s British Security Awards, with the 2021 event scheduled to take place at the London Marriott Hotel on Grosvenor Square on Wednesday 30 June.

The British Security Awards recognise key achievements from within the private security industry and, for the third consecutive year, the NSI is sponsoring the Apprentice of the Year Award.  Dedicated to the next generation of engineers within the industry, this category will award an apprentice for their outstanding commitment to training, personal initiative and customer service.

Richard Jenkins CEO at the NSI, commented: “Our support of apprenticeships in the security and fire sectors is an intrinsic element of the NSI’s commitment to raising standards. While an ongoing need to bridge the future skills gap exists, our support of apprenticeships remains as pertinent as ever. We encourage companies to nominate their exceptional apprentices and, by doing so, afford them the recognition they deserve.”

Jenkins added: “We look forward to this year’s British Security Awards as a vital opportunity to shine a spotlight on the invaluable contribution made by those practitioners within the private security industry who go above and beyond the call of duty to keep people, property and assets safe.”

“Entries for the British Security Awards 2021 close on Friday 16 April and the finalists will be announced on Tuesday 4 May. Further information is available on the event website
