VERITECH SECURITY Ltd – the Southampton-based security and technology business – is now targeting its next phase of growth after securing a multi-million pound lending package from Barclays Business Bank. The funding will support the company to refinance existing liabilities and continue investing in its staff, technology, infrastructure and service offer.

The business operates a state-of-the-art 24/7 Control Centre and supports customers across a range of industries in the public sector and commercial sites in the maritime, education, healthcare, property management and construction sectors.
The support from Barclays emerges as Veritech Security Ltd continues to build on a period of growth, with the business investing in new technologies, expanding its operational capability and exploring select acquisition opportunities.
Veritech Security Ltd has developed a strong reputation for combining technology-led security solutions with responsive and personal service. The business is accredited in the Top 1% of Security Industry Authority Approved Contractors and has received industry recognition (including the FIR Inspiration Award 2024 from the Supply Chain Sustainability School).
Greater flexibility
Paul Oldridge, managing director of Veritech Security Ltd, said: “Securing this funding package gives us greater flexibility as we move into the next phase of Veritech’s growth, allowing us to refinance existing debt to support the business, while giving us the headroom to continue investing in our people, technology, infrastructure and service offer.”
Oldridge added: “Our focus is on scaling responsibly, while maintaining the quality, responsiveness and technical capability that our customers expect and deserve. Demand for technology-led security solutions continues to grow. This support from Barclays will help us to strengthen our 24/7 monitoring capability, develop our wider service offer and explore new opportunities in high growth areas.”
Andrew Holden, relationship director at Barclays Business Bank, explained: “Veritech is a strong example of a long-standing local business with a clear growth story, a strong reputation and an ambition to keep investing in the future.”
Holden went on to state: “Paul and the team have built a highly regarded business in a very competitive sector, with a clear focus on quality, innovation and customer service. We’re proud to have supported Veritech over many years and this latest funding package reflects both the strength of that relationship and our confidence in Veritech’s future.”
