THE NATIONAL Association for Healthcare Security (NAHS) has issued details of the organisation’s Annual Conference and Awards for 2026. Conference runs on 17-18 November at The Slate, University of Warwick from 9.30 am, with the NAHS Awards taking place on the final evening.
Healthcare sector organisations are now facing increasingly complex security challenges. Rising levels of violence and aggression against members of staff, alongside threats from terrorism, crime, unauthorised access and risks to critical infrastructure, continue to place significant pressure on services.
These challenges are compounded by wider system pressures, including higher patient acuity, more complex healthcare needs, extended waiting times, funding constraints, reduced police involvement through the ‘Right Care, Right Person’ framework and the current absence of national oversight or assurance for healthcare security.
As the UK’s largest healthcare security organisation and the second largest globally, NAHS provides trusted expertise, guidance and professional support. Working closely with Government departments, security services, regulators, the Association of University Chief Security Officers (AUCSO) and the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety, NAHS plays a leading role in shaping healthcare security policy and practice.
Supporting attendance at the NAHS Annual Conference is an investment in the safety, resilience and effectiveness of the organisation. Delegates will gain access to the latest Best Practice advice in addition to detail on emerging threats, legislative developments, innovative technologies and practical solutions purpose-designed to address today’s healthcare security challenges.
