ORGANISER NINETEEN Group has announced that The Security Event Europe 2027 (taking place at the NEC in Birmingham from 27-29 April) is set to showcase the future of autonomous security with the launch of a brand new Drones and Robotics Arena: a dedicated show feature designed to bring together the latest advances in commercial drones, counter-UAS technologies, robotics and autonomous security solutions.
Created to provide security professionals with a first-hand look at the technologies reshaping the sector, the new area will feature leading manufacturers, technology providers and innovators demonstrating how aerial and ground-based autonomous systems are enhancing surveillance, threat detection, incident response and operational efficiency.
From cutting-edge commercial drone applications and counter-drone capabilities through to intelligent robotic platforms, the Drones and Robotics Arena will offer visitors an “unrivalled” opportunity to explore the next generation of security technology in action.
The Drone Zone
The Drone Zone is where the future of commercial and enterprise security takes flight. Visitors will be able to connect with those organisations pioneering autonomous, intelligent and mission-critical drone solutions, as well as meeting with the security leaders ready to invest in the next generation of technology.
Drones are increasingly being adopted and used in commercial and enterprise security as a force multiplier to help organisations monitor large, complex or high-risk areas faster and more safely. Used across perimeter security and site surveillance, automated security patrols, critical infrastructure, event and crowd security, incident response, emergency support, asset protection and theft prevention in addition to security inspections and compliance, drone-centred technology solutions are undoubtedly serving to transform commercial and enterprise security.
William Arinze, founder of The Drone Rules, stated: “Drones and robotics are set to transform how we protect people, places and critical assets. The opportunity now is to move beyond showcasing technology and demonstrate how it can be deployed safely, responsibly and at scale.”
Arinze continued: “At The Drone Rules, we’re proud to help organisations turn emerging UAS capability into practical and compliant operations. We’re delighted to support The Security Event Europe 2027 in bringing that future to life.”
The Robotics Zone
The Robotics Zone will showcase the future of security innovation, bringing together leading robotics developers, technology providers and security professionals to demonstrate how autonomous solutions are transforming the security sector.
This feature on the show floor at the NEC will demonstrate how robotics can enhance situational awareness, improve response times and support security teams. Offering 24/7 operational capability, reduced exposure to dangerous environments, faster detection and response, improved coverage of large sites, consistent reporting and evidence capture and integration with existing security systems, visitors will be able to learn about the next generation of autonomous robotics transforming the commercial and enterprise security sector.
Lee Newman, co-founder of the United Kingdom Emergency Robotics Responders Organisation (UKERRO), said: “The UKERRO is proud to be hosting the Robotics Zone at The Security Event Europe 2027. Robotics and unmanned systems are fundamentally changing how Emergency Services and security teams approach incidents, affording crews eyes, ears and reach inside a scene before anyone has to step into it.”
Newman added: “The Robotics Zone brings that capability out of the brochure and puts it in front of the people who’ll actually use it so that they’re able to see what these systems can do, ask difficult questions of the manufacturers and take that understanding back to their own teams.”
Rapid growth
Peter Poole, Group event director for The Security Event Europe at Nineteen Group, said: “Launching the Drones and Robotics Arena is a direct reflection of the rapid growth of autonomous security technology and an increasing demand from our visitors to explore these solutions.”
Further, Poole observed: “With more exhibitors showcasing drones, counter-UAS and robotics at The Security Event Europe, a dedicated hub is a natural next step. We will bring together technology developers, integrators, end users and security professionals, in turn creating a platform designed to explore how these technologies are transforming security operations and shaping the future of autonomous security.”
