THE INTERNATIONAL Professional Security Association (IPSA) has appointed David Fullerton as chair of the organisation. Fullerton takes up the post immediately after serving in an interim capacity since July.
As founder and CEO of Professional Security, which was established back in 2005 and provides security solutions for the hospitality and leisure sector, Fullerton has grown the business into a £70 million-plus Top 20 UK security company through organic development, strategic acquisitions and an unwavering commitment to quality, compliance and customer relationships.
Fullerton is a strong advocate for men’s mental health. He’s also the founder of the ‘No Guard Alone’ campaign and a proud ambassador of Tough to Talk, the UK charity dedicated to reducing male suicide. Further, Fullerton’s wholly committed to dismantling stigmas and building a more emotionally safe and supported workforce.
David Fullerton explained: “I’m honoured to have been voted on to the IPSA Board in the role of permanent chair after serving for four months in an interim capacity. We are truly blessed to have such an incredible and diverse team of security professionals who simply want to give back to an industry that has been kind to them. There are no egos. Just big hearts and a passion to drive positive change.”
He concluded: “I’m really looking forward to chairing such a dynamic and passionate team of individuals committed to both representing our members and consolidating IPSA’s position as not only the oldest Trade Association in our sector, but also the most forward thinking and inclusive.”
Satia Rai, CEO at IPSA, stated: “I want to extend my sincere thanks to David for his outstanding service and unwavering commitment. His contributions have to date been nothing short of remarkable. He now stands as one of our longest-serving directors. We look forward to working with David as we move IPSA on to the next level on behalf of its members.”
