Corps Monitoring bolsters management team at Glasgow headquarters

CORPS MONITORING – itself a division of certified Social Enterprise Corps Security – has appointed Andy Mounsey as technical director of monitoring and promoted Ross Doolan to Control Room manager for monitoring. These strategic changes reflect Corps Monitoring’s “commitment to leadership excellence” and continuous improvement.

Mounsey brings with him a wealth of experience, having served as operations manager at Orbis Protect for the past 14 years and spent 18 years working in the security sector in total. His responsibilities included overseeing the company’s Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) and supporting the integration of new products and technologies.

On his appointment, Mounsey commented: “I can see so much potential for growth in monitoring and how to make the most of the excellent Corps Monitoring facility in Glasgow. The company’s values and ethos clearly demonstrate what’s important to the business. I was immediately attracted by the team’s principles and the very clear focus on delivering the best possible service for clients.”

In the role of technical director for monitoring, Mounsey will be working to maximise the potential of the National Security Inspectorate (NSI) Gold Category II accredited Corps Monitoring Centre in Glasgow. As part of his role, he assumes responsibility for exploring new avenues and technologies, while also using his experience to support and develop the team resident at the ARC.

Rising through the ranks

Ross Doolan, who has been with Corps for almost six years now, has steadily risen through the ranks. Starting out as a CCTV operator back in 2018, he has since held roles in engineering support and served as technical administrator.

Following his promotion, Doolan said: “I’m incredibly proud to be leading the Monitoring Control Room team. Since joining Corps, I have felt like I belong to a family, rather than just a business. In Corps, you are not ‘just a number’. You’re able to build great relationships with colleagues and clients alike. It helps us all work towards the same goal: delivering a key-critical service to the highest possible standards and being indispensable to our clients.”

As Control Room manager for monitoring, Doolan will now take on responsibility for supporting the team of operators in the ARC, while in parallel ensuring the correct handling of alarms in line with NSI guidelines and meeting customer needs at all times.
