SECURE CONNECTIVITY provider CSL has announced the launch of MiniAir 2. An ideal mobile upgrade for digital communicators, MiniAir 2 is a single-path signalling solution that uses a 4G/LTE-M path to signal an alarm from a protected premises to an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC).
MiniAir 2 is supplied with a standby SIM as a back-up to safeguard the system if the active SIM fails. Both SIMs operate on an independent network from the other for total resilience.
This latest solution devised by CSL is designed for both commercial and residential premises as an affordable upgrade from a digital communicator to secure signalling.
The UK’s telephone network upgrade to All-IP is well underway now, but hundreds of thousands of alarm systems are still using legacy digital communicators that rely on PSTN. MiniAir 2 provides a cost-effective, future-proofed radio signalling solution to ensure alarm systems can still send signals to the ARC. Importantly, this professional signalling upgrade also ensures that systems maintain their existing police Unique Reference Numbers.
Commenting on the launch, Rob Evans (sales director at CSL) stated: “MiniAir 2 is a game-changer for professional installers when it comes to upgrading digital communicators. We’re very aware of the challenges presented to installers by the UK’s All-IP project. That’s precisely why we’ve developed this ideal mobile upgrade in order to future-proof systems and ensure that signals still reach the ARC.”
Evans concuded: “This is all part of our ongoing commitment to provide our customers with the latest innovations that will support their businesses.”
MiniAir 2 is available to order now from chosen ARCs.
