ADDSECURE – THE provider of secure Internet of Things connectivity and end-to-end solutions – has launched AddSecure PathLink: a new solution that enables “fast, simple and highly reliable” upgrades of existing alarm panels to secure 4G connectivity.
By integrating panel manufacturers’ hardware with an AddSecure SIM, the monitored path links directly into the AddSecure platform, sending secure signals into Alarm Receiving Centres (ARCs). PathLink provides a straightforward upgrade path for systems affected by the 2G and PSTN switch‑off, as well as for new installations.
PathLink “distinguishes itself from competitors” thanks to its 60-minute fault reporting time, encrypted communication and high reliability, making it an ideal choice for customers seeking robust security and dependable performance.
The new solution is designed specifically for security alarm applications, delivering reliable signalling for residential and commercial installations.
AddSecure PathLink will be available through ARCs in line with AddSecure’s NGP platform solutions. This ensures easy access, professional support and a fast and straightforward upgrade process.
Smooth transition
“With PathLink, we’re making it easier and more cost-effective for customers to upgrade to secure 4G connectivity,” said Nicholas Whiting, vice-president of alarm signalling at AddSecure UK. “By removing upfront hardware costs and simplifying installation, we’re helping customers to transition smoothly from legacy networks, while maintaining reliable and compliant alarm signalling.”
The key features of AddSecure PathLink include the following:
*fast and simple upgrade to 4G: modernises existing alarm panels quickly and efficiently
*zero upfront hardware cost: reduces financial barriers and simplifies adoption
*highly reliable 4G communication: ensures consistent and uninterrupted alarm signalling
*60-minute fault reporting: rapid notification of issues for enhanced security and peace of mind
*encrypted communication: protects data and ensures secure transmission
*app compatibility: works with panel manufacturer app
Continued compliance
Alarm installers with alarm panels reliant on 2G or 3G networks can upgrade to 4G using PathLink without incurring upfront hardware costs. The transition is simple, while improved reliability and fault reporting help to ensure continued protection and compliance.
