TDSi honoured by BSIA for 30 years of Trade Association membership

INTEGRATED SECURITY solutions manufacturer TDSi has been honoured by the British Security Industry Association (BSIA) in recognition of 30 years of membership with the Trade Association. To mark the occasion, TDSi’s managing director John Davies was presented with an Anniversary Trophy by BSIA director John MacAskill MSyl at Intersec 2023.

TDSi is part of the Vitaprotech Group of companies, which has a combined turnover of €65 million and upwards of 380 employees. The Vitaprotech Group’s mission is to secure physical access in two critical areas: perimeter intrusion detection and access control and security.

Established back in 1982, TDSi has been at the forefront of the access control and integrated security management market for over four decades now. The company’s diverse and comprehensive product range encompasses access control systems, biometric readers, security management software and IP CCTV as well as video management software.

The portfolio can be easily integrated into other security and BMS applications and deployed to serve businesses and organisations of all sizes and types. The company’s systems also integrate with those of several of the leading solution developers in the security industry, among them Milestone, Hanwha Techwin, Panasonic, Ela Soft, SimonsVoss, ASSA ABLOY and Texecom.

Speaking about this achievement, John Davies commented: “It’s an honour to have been associated with the BSIA for the last 30 years, and to have been able to contribute towards the Trade Association’s fantastic work across the British security industry throughout that time. The industry has evolved and grown beyond all recognition over the last three decades, as has TDSi. The BSIA continues to be a positive and unifying element within the sector, continually promoting excellence and good business practices and underpinning trust, all of which define British security worldwide and uphold its well-deserved reputation. Here’s to the next 30 years.”

Industry professionals

The BSIA’s members are responsible for more than 70% of privately provided UK security products and services (by turnover) and focus on the manufacture, distribution and installation of electronic and physical security equipment in addition to the provision of security officer services and consultancy.

The Trade Association’s members are industry professionals ranging in size and scope from global companies to SMEs, all of them offering quality products and services to a spectrum of end users.

As the ‘voice of the professional security industry’, the BSIA supports and encourages excellence; educating the marketplace on the value of quality and professional security and creating an environment in which companies operating in the sector can flourish.

Following the presentation of the Anniversary Trophy, a spokesperson for the BSIA stated: “TDSi has been able to help shape the direction of the security industry by sharing its industry insights and playing an active role in our Access and Asset Protection and Export Council Sections. Indeed, John Davies is the current Access and Asset Protection Section chair. We look forward to continuing our working relationship with the company.”
