MS WEBB & Co Limited – the specialist vacant property and enforcement services company supporting landlords, lenders, insolvency practitioners and managing agents in protecting and maximising the value of distressed and at‑risk assets – has been formally admitted as a member of the Vacant Property Protection Section at the British Security Industry Association (BSIA).
This membership acknowledges MS Webb & Co Limited’s ongoing commitment to high standards of service, compliance and professionalism in securing vacant and vulnerable properties right across the UK.
Formed back in 2015, the BSIA’s Vacant Property Protection Section brings together specialist companies that protect empty and at‑risk sites through temporary and remotely monitored alarm and video surveillance systems, mobile security patrols, physical shutters and other measures (and also through protection by occupation models where appropriate).
Importantly, this dedicated BSIA Section was instrumental in the development of British Standard BS 8584, which underpins professional vacant property protection services and provides assurances for property owners, insurers and managing agents alike.
By joining the Vacant Property Protection Section, MS Webb & Co Limited aligns itself with rigorous membership criteria, including independent certification to recognised quality standards, compliance with relevant British and European Standards and Codes of Practice, as well as evidence of sound financial, ethical and operational management. BSIA membership is widely regarded as a symbol of quality and professionalism in the security industry, both nationally and on the international stage.
Important milestone
“Being welcomed into the BSIA’s Vacant Property Protection Section is an important milestone for MS Webb & Co Limited,” said Greg Webb, co‑owner and director of the business. “It reinforces our focus on delivering compliant and audit‑ready vacant property solutions that reduce risk, control cost and protect our clients’ reputations, while also giving them confidence that our services meet nationally recognised standards.”
Commenting on the announcement, Joe Webb (co‑owner and director) added: “Our teams work on some of the most challenging vacant and distressed sites where risk can escalate quickly if it’s not properly managed. BSIA membership underlines the confidence our clients can place in MS Webb & Co Limited to provide robust, flexible and accountable protection for their assets.”
As a BSIA member, MS Webb & Co Limited will contribute to Vacant Property Protection Section meetings and Working Groups that help to shape industry standards, share Best Practice and influence policy on issues affecting the protection of vacant and distressed assets.
The company will also benefit from the BSIA’s member resources, events and specialist forums, all of which are designed to support collaboration and raise standards across the sector.
Robust and compliant protection
With the volume and complexity of vacant and distressed property continuing to rise, from commercial portfolios and regeneration sites though to residential blocks and infrastructure projects, MS Webb & Co Limited’s BSIA membership further strengthens the company’s offer to those landlords, lenders, insolvency practitioners and managing agents seeking demonstrably robust and compliant protection for their assets.
MS Webb & Co Limited provides a complete range of solutions including vacant property inspections, physical security measures, temporary and remotely monitored systems, enforcement and eviction services and related risk management support.
Recently, the company was recognised in the form of two accolades at the regional FSB and HSBC Small Business Growth Awards 2026, winning the South East Family Business Award and taking the runner‑up spot in the South East Expansion and Growth Award category.
