Midcounties Co-operative selects Amberstone for security partner role

Amberstone Security is one of Europe’s leading suppliers of intelligence-led security guarding services, security technology solutions and loss prevention services. The business will now provide numerous security services across The Midcounties Co-operative’s network, in turn helping to keep customers and staff safe while they shop and work.

Amberstone Security impressed the client during a rigorous tender process wherein the business competed against several other leading UK security companies. Its data-driven approach to saving clients’ money, while simultaneously reducing risk, was a key selling point. For the new contract, Amberstone Security will now supply security officers, crime management services and remote monitoring solutions for retail stores owned and operated by The Midcounties Co-operative.

Safety of paramount importance

Rupert Newman, chief retail officer at The Midcounties Co-operative, explained: “The safety of our colleagues, customers and members is of paramount importance. That’s why we’re making such a significant investment to help prevent crime occurring in our stores and also ensure that, when incidents do happen, the perpetrators are held to account.”
