SECURITY SOLUTIONS provider Securitas has announced the appointment of Henrik Zetterberg (former chief operating officer for Europe and a member of Group management, having served with the business since 2014) to the role of divisional president for Europe as Peter Karlströmer steps down.
Zetterberg joined Securitas as senior vice-president (general counsel) before assuming the role of chief operating officer for Securitas Europe in January 2018 with a specific focus on Northern Europe. On 1 July 2020, Zetterberg was promoted to the role of chief operating officer for Securitas Europe in its totality.
His previous experience included various roles at ASSA Abloy across the Group’s legal operation and within different divisions, including a time as head of legal for the Entrance System Division and within business development.
Prior to this, Zetterberg was a senior associate at the law firm Mannheimer Swartling. He holds a law degree from Lund University in Sweden.
Magnus Ahlqvist (president and CEO at Securitas) commented: “I’m delighted to appoint Henrik as president of our European division. He has demonstrated very strong leadership and has been successful in many different roles, most recently being responsible for the day-to-day operations in all countries in our European division and driving several important strategic projects, such as client excellence and the STANLEY Security acquisition.”
Ahlqvist added: “Henrik is client focused, people centric and results driven, which is what we need to continue our journey in Europe. I’m fully confident that Henrik will excel in his new role.”
Peter Karlströmer joined Securitas in 2019 as divisional president for Europe, but has now decided to leave the business in order to pursue opportunities outside of the company. “Peter has been instrumental in the transformation of Securitas in Europe,” affirmed Ahlqvist. “and I want to take this opportunity to thank him for his leadership, drive and care for our people, while also wishing him the best of luck for the future.”
This change in the senior management team is effective immediately. Although Karlströmer will remain within the business until 31 December to support an orderly handover process.
