THE NATIONAL Security Inspectorate (NSI) is putting in place preparations to make its exhibition stand at The Security Event a key destination for the UK commercial and residential security installer/integrator community.
The Inspectorate is delighted to be an official Event Partner at The Security Event with a significant presence at the show. Taking place on 7-9 September at the NEC in Birmingham, The Security Event will be the largest of its kind in the UK this year with over 175 leading brands showcasing their products and services.
Professional security installers and integrators will be able to discuss their certification and standards queries with the NSI’s experts on the stand as well as join briefing sessions in the Security and Fire Installer Theatre across the three days of the event where important industry updates and guidance on standards, regulation and Best Practice will be shared.
Richard Jenkins, the NSI’s CEO, will be delivering a presentation on certification in a post-pandemic landscape. Essential updates for installers on alarm confirmation for police response, cyber secure installations and access control will be the focal points for Matthew Holliday (the NSI’s head of approval schemes), while John Davidson (the NSI’s approval schemes manager in relation to systems) examines changes to fire safety standards and fire certification schemes.

Richard Jenkins commented: “We’re delighted to support The Security Event and, with the Government’s recent easing of COVID restrictions in England, this long-anticipated event will be the largest gathering of UK security and fire safety professionals for a considerable time. Co-located with The Fire Safety Event, we’re anticipating a very busy three days and looking forward to welcoming a significant number of our 1,900-plus NSI approved companies to the NSI stand and to making new connections with those in the sector who are considering certification for the benefit of their business and customers.”
