SECURITY SOLUTIONS provider DeterTech, the official site security partner of Brentford FC, is proud to announce its expanded partnership with the Premier League club’s Community Sports Trust, in turn reinforcing the company’s commitment to keeping young people safe, informed and empowered across the London Borough of Hounslow.
This collaboration marks the next stage in a growing community safety initiative through which DeterTech will continue working directly with children and young people to deliver practical education on personal safety, protecting personal belongings and preventing crime.
By incorporating proven deterrent technologies such as SmartWater, DeterTech enhances the Community Sports Trust’s mission to create positive pathways and safe spaces for young people across Hounslow.
At the centre of this mission is the Trust’s Communities Engagement Department, which revitalises underused outdoor areas by transforming them into vibrant multi-sport community hubs in West London. Operating across several housing estates and engaging children and young people aged from five to 18 during the crucial after-school hours of 5.00 pm-8.00 pm, the programme plays a vital role in reducing vulnerability, providing safe and engaging environments and addressing anti-social behaviour.
Youngsters will be given the opportunity to participate in street football, multi-sport sessions, skills-building workshops and leadership exercises, all supported by professional coaches and volunteers. DeterTech’s crime prevention experts will also be on hand to advise attendees on keeping their belongings safe.
Active role
As the Brentford FC Community Sports Trust’s designated Safer Communities Partner, DeterTech takes an active and ongoing role in workshops, community engagements and estate-based activations throughout Hounslow. This includes supporting April’s ‘Safer Communities Week’, which will highlight safety education, crime prevention tools and DeterTech’s support for families and young people alike.
Sarah Craig, chief marketing officer at DeterTech, stated: “At DeterTech, we are fully committed to supporting young people, empowering families and helping to build safer and stronger communities. Engaging directly with children through positive hands-on education is one of the most effective forms of proactive crime prevention. We’re proud to contribute towards a programme that’s making a real difference across Hounslow in addition to surrounding neighbourhoods.”
Brentford FC Community Sports Trust’s CEO and founder Lee Doyle responded: “Our Community Sports Trust has always been closely connected with the communities we serve, supporting young people with opportunities that help them to thrive. Working alongside DeterTech enhances the support we can offer, ensuring that young people have safe and positive environments in which to grow and make confident choices.”
Street Sports activations
DeterTech will be present at Street Sports activations across the following estates:
*Brentford Towers TW8 0DA: Tuesday 7 April (5.00 pm-7.00 pm)
*Eclipse Centre, Staines upon Thames TW18 1AJ: Wednesday 8 April (5.00 pm-7.00 pm)
*Gunnersbury Park W3 8LQ: Friday 10 April (4.30 pm-7.00 pm)
These sessions will realise hands-on engagement for young people, helping them to understand how to keep their belongings safe and how SmartWater technology can support safer communities.
This programme is another way in which DeterTech can assist Brentford FC’s commitment to fan safety and community well-being, following on from other events such as crime prevention sessions and free bike marking for fans on matchdays.
Drawing upon its experience in risk management and deterrent technologies, DeterTech will continue to partner with the Brentford FC Community Sports Trust in order to deliver a safe and inclusive experience for all.
