THE CYBER Outstanding Security Performance Awards (the Cyber OSPAs) have been launched by Perpetuity Research in order to recognise and highlight outstanding performance by companies, people, products and initiatives across the cyber security sector globally.
The Cyber OSPAs have been designed to be ethical and are based on the values of being independent, credible, transparent and respectable. The Judges are nominated by global supporting associations. All agree to mark to an ethics policy and independently against published criteria.
The Cyber OSPAs are based on equivalent awards: the Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) for the physical and corporate security sector and the Tackling Economic Crime Awards (TECAs), both of which are renowned in their sphere of influence.
Commenting on the launch of the Cyber OSPAs, Professor Martin Gill CSyP FSyI (founder of the OSPAs and director of Perpetuity Research) stated: “Recognising outstanding performers is important. Understanding who they are can allow them to serve as examples to others who’ll then look to emulate emulate them and inspire excellence across the sector.”
Gill added: “Cyber security is not a ‘nice to have’ It’s a fundamental need and doing it well has never been so important. I urge everyone to support these awards so that we can honour the individuals and companies who demonstrate excellence, innovation and leadership globally.”
