Association of Security Consultants restructures leadership team

FOLLOWING ON from the organisation’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in June, the Association of Security Consultants (ASC) has now confirmed a newly elected and restructured leadership team designed to take the Association into its next phase of development.

The AGM provided an opportunity to acknowledge the contribution of existing Board members whose leadership and commitment have helped guide the Association through what has been a period of significant progress.

As such, the ASC extended its appreciation to Simon Crane, Lee Doddridge, Michelle Elkins MBE, Nigel Cook, Frank Doherty, Dennis Roe and Roger Noakes for their ongoing support of the Association’s objectives and also recognised Ken Graham for his significant contribution over the years.

Following the completion of the election process, Christopher Aldous, Danny Moody and Archie Phillips were formally introduced into the newly elected Board of Directors.

The election process also provided an opportunity to review and update leadership responsibilities across the Board of Directors, duly resulting in the following structure to be supported by CEO Gary Thomas:

*Simon Crane: chair, international development and CSyP lead

*Lee Doddridge: vice-chair and events lead

*Michelle Elkins MBE: communications lead

*Nigel Cook: SABRE lead

*Frank Doherty: treasurer and membership lead

*Roger Noakes: membership

*Dennis Roe: academic engagement and professional development lead

*Christopher Aldous: SABRE development

*Danny Moody: CSyP and membership

*Archie Phillips: academic engagement and professional development

Growing membership base

The enhanced leadership structure reflects the Association’s commitment to supporting a growing membership base, while at the same time ensuring dedicated oversight across key areas including professional development, communications, membership engagement, events, international collaboration, SABRE and CSyP.

Commenting on the Association’s journey, ASC chair Simon Crane explained: “A growing membership brings growing responsibilities. We’ve expanded our leadership team to meet those responsibilities and ensure the Association is well placed for the years ahead. Our returning directors have laid the foundations. Our new members are here to build on them.”
