Winners of the 2022 Fire & Security Matters Awards announced at gala ceremony

THE WINNERS of the inaugural edition of the Fire & Security Matters Awards – run in conjunction with the Fire Industry Association (FIA) – were announced on the evening of Thursday 28 April at a gala ceremony and dinner held at the Coventry Building Society Arena.

Organised by Western Business Media and two of the B2B publishing company’s key magazines – namely Security Matters and Fire Safety Matters – the evening was brilliantly compered by popular impressionist and comedian Alistair McGowan and played host to upwards of 400 guests who enjoyed a pre-dinner drinks reception, a three-course meal with fine wines and post-awards entertainment including a casino and a live band.

The Fire & Security Matters Awards are designed to honour and recognise industry professionals and teams from both the security and fire sectors who work so diligently to keep people and property safe.

On the night – for which the nominated charity was The Fire Fighters Charity – there were 12 hotly-contested categories, with the Lifetime Achievement Award being the first accolade bestowed in the wake of Western Business Media CEO Mark Sennett’s welcoming address and a speech by Headline Sponsor Aico.
