TINYg outlines Level 5 Terrorism Awareness and Management course

GLOBAL COUNTER-Terrorism information networking group TINYg is now offering another Level 5 Terrorism Awareness and Management course, which is priced at £295 for the organisation’s members and entitles delegates to an international OFQUAL certification on completion.

With the results of Phase 1 of the Manchester Arena Public Inquiry now published, this course is well positioned to assist practitioners with the arising compliance and security arrangements.

The recent event at a synagogue in Texas – which, thankfully, concluded with the safe release of the hostages – is yet another reminder that there is no-one and nowhere free from the threat posed by terrorist attack. Terrorism is now part of the threat environment in which all security professionals are operating, whatever their specific role or sector.

The Level 5 Award in Terrorism Awareness and Management has been developed in collaboration between TINYg and the Institute of Strategic Risk Management. It’s designed to give all security and risk managers an in-depth introduction to the issues associated with creating security management programmes that are robust enough to model and engage with those threats associated with targeted attacks, whatever their scale or scope.

The course covers all of the significant issues that need to be taken into account when creating an holistic, integrated and, above all, sustainable terrorism awareness and management programme. There’s a mixture of Case Studies, global Best Practice and standard protocols. All participants are afforded the tools they need in order to bring immediate benefit to their own organisations.

The cost has been kept deliberately low to allow everyone to participate and includes the formal Level 5 certification for those wishing to gain an academically accredited professional qualification. The course runs from 14-18 February between 4.30 pm and 5.30 pm each day.
