ALARM CONNECTIVITY specialist Permaconn has entered into a new partnership arrangement with Scutum Digital (the dedicated provider of monitoring solutions). This move further strengthens the roll-out of Permaconn’s SecureLink alarm connectivity solution across the UK and Ireland.
The Scutum Digital partnership reinforces SecureLink’s position as a next generation signalling platform for mission-critical applications, while in parallel extending its reach through a partner that’s recognised for scale, technical capability and integrated service delivery.
Going forward, Scutum Digital will support the deployment of SecureLink, Permaconn’s quad-SIM, triple-path security and fire systems communicator, enabling higher levels of reliability and flexibility for today’s customers operating in complex and demanding environments.
For its part, Scutum Digital continually invests in technologies that enhance reliability, simplify operations and improve customer outcomes. Partnering with Permaconn enables Scutum Digital to bolster its own offer with advanced signalling technology designed specifically for high-risk and, what’s more, business-critical applications.
Benchmark for performance
SecureLink by Permaconn is “setting a new benchmark for performance” in all connectivity conditions. Extensive field testing, including at known UK connectivity ‘blackspots’, has demonstrated SecureLink’s ability to maintain reliable communications where traditional signalling solutions – and even mobile phones – can struggle to connect.
The solution also delivers a new level of operational flexibility. A single SecureLink device can be configured to meet a wide range of grading requirements from SP2 LAN through to DP4 Radio-Radio. This is a ‘first’ for the UK and Ireland market.
Traditionally, changes to signalling grades require site revisits and co-ordination between multiple parties, often taking days or weeks in terms of timescales. SecureLink enables these changes to be implemented remotely, significantly reducing the time, cost and operational disruption involved.
Shared focus
Andrew Pears, Group CEO at Permaconn, stated: “We’re delighted to partner with Scutum Digital as we continue to bring SecureLink to customers across the UK and Ireland. At the core of this collaboration is a shared focus on making reliable connectivity simpler in critical environments.”
Pears added: “By combining Permaconn’s advanced signalling technology with Scutum Digital’s expertise and service capability, we’re enabling customers to achieve greater reliability and flexibility while helping them to solve real-world challenges with confidence.”
Paul Durkin, managing director of Scutum Digital, responded: “Reliable connectivity is fundamental to effective security and fire systems. SecureLink offers that new level of reliability and flexibility that aligns strongly with our own approach of providing future-ready integrated security solutions for our customers. We’re pleased to partner with Permaconn and bring this technology to customers across the UK and Ireland.”
