OCS completes acquisition of Top Security in Ireland

OCS HAS completed the acquisition of Top Security, the technology-led security company operating across Ireland. The acquisition enhances OCS’ technology-enabled security capability, expanding its remote monitoring services, Control Room operations, communications resilience and Alarm Receiving Centre capabilities alongside the facilities management and security guarding services already delivered across Ireland.

Founded over 40 years ago, Top Security operates a nationwide monitoring network, including its own Alarm Receiving Centre and an independent radio communications network, in turn delivering resilient monitoring capabilities for private and public sector environments.

Integrating monitoring, technology and front line security services enhances OCS’ ability to deliver a more integrated security and Total Facilities Management model in Ireland. This combined capability supports a co-ordinated service across security, technology and facilities management, all supported by real-time monitoring and operational insights.

Strong reputation

Daniel Dickson, CEO for the UK and Ireland at OCS, said: “Top Security has built a strong reputation in the Irish market for its monitoring expertise and security technology capability. Bringing the business into OCS enhances our ability to deliver technology-enabled security services and integrated facilities management across Ireland.”

Dickson added: “Customers increasingly require security, technology and facilities management to operate as a co-ordinated service. This investment expands our capability and supports safe and resilient environments for the organisations we work with.”

Áine Mulcahy, managing director for Ireland at OCS, explained: “This acquisition represents a significant step forward in enhancing our security capabilities in Ireland and further developing our integrated facilities management model.”

Mulcahy continued: “Top Security brings specialist monitoring expertise, communications infrastructure and a highly experienced team. Combining these capabilities with OCS’ existing facilities management and security services enables us to offer customers a broader and more resilient service.”

Emmet O’Rafferty, chair of the Top Security Group, stated: “For over 40 years, Top Security has built its reputation on dependable security solutions and strong relationships withcustomers across Ireland. Joining OCS marks an exciting new chapter for the business.”

In conclusion, O’Rafferty observed: “We share a commitment to service quality and long-term customer partnerships. Being part of OCS offers a solid platform to further develop our monitoring capabilities, while also creating new opportunities for our customers and colleagues.”

Continuity of service

Monitoring services, including 24/7 Alarm Receiving Centre operations, will continue without interruption. Existing customer contacts, escalation procedures and operational teams remain unchanged, thereby ensuring continuity of service.

The acquisition reflects OCS’ ongoing commitment to Ireland and enhances the organisation’s capacity to provide integrated facilities management, security and technology-enabled services throughout the region.
