i-PRO EMEA is looking to “shake up” the security camera industry by building on its Panasonic reputation for quality and reliability and adding a start-up mentality focused on quickly responding to customer demands by bringing “innovative and competitive new products” to market.
On Friday 1 October, the new global independent company officially transferred from Panasonic and is now headquartered in Amsterdam, operating as part of the Japan-based i-PRO global company network.
i-PRO EMEA will continue to build on its 60-year history of producing quality security cameras and accelerate the introduction of innovation, including the incorporation of Artificial Intelligence (AI). In line with its new direction, the company will adopt the i-PRO brand as the standalone product identity from April next year onwards.
Gerard Figols has been appointed i-PRO EMEA president to lead the organisation into this new era. On top of transferring the existing team members and their know-how from Panasonic, i-PRO EMEA is also actively recruiting to bring additional talent into the organisation and help take the company to the next level by readying the business for future growth.
Exciting new chapter
“This moment marks an exciting new chapter in the development of the security camera industry,” explained Figols in conversation with Security Matters. “i-PRO aims to lead the AI-ification of the security camera market by making AI the new standard. We have plans in place to triple the number of available cameras in our range over the next six-to-12 months.”
Further, Figols noted: “We will use the company’s new agility to quickly respond to market requirements, delivering more high-quality products in shorter development times and at greater value for money. The overriding aim is to deliver reliable hardware that’s open for customisation. i-PRO EMEA very much looks forward to supporting its partners and their customers on this exciting journey.”
As part of its drive to draw closer to its partners and customers, i-PRO EMEA is revitalising its Premium Partner Programme which includes distributors and integrators as part of the mix.
Wanda Nijholt, i-PRO EMEA’s marketing and communications manager, commented: “i-PRO will be working more closely with our partners than ever before, listening to their needs and quickly responding with new solutions with a view towards becoming the market’s trusted next generation partner.”
