PERIMETER INTRUSION detection solutions manufacturer Harper Chalice is combining product lines, brands and organisation with fellow Vitaprotech Group company Hirsch for both its UK and export business activities.
The Hirsch product range of high-security physical access control, video surveillance, analytics and security monitoring system plus Command and Control solutions, combined with Harper Chalice’s line-up of National Protective Security Authority-approved perimeter intrusion detection solutions, represents the UK’s “most complete range” of physical security solutions.
“The Harper Chalice name has a long and respected history within the perimeter intrusion market here in the UK,” said Adam O’Reilly, managing director of Hirsch in the UK. “Since our acquisition by Vitaprotech Group back in 2023, we’ve taken huge strides to develop the business both domestically and overseas. The combination of our business activities and name change represents much more than a rebrand, though. It marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter. We’ll continue our development and offer a more comprehensive and innovative range of high-security solutions for our customers.”
Harper Chalice has been in operation for over two decades now, delivering high-security solutions to protect critical infrastructure, commercial properties and high-risk sites across the UK. Founded with a commitment to innovation and reliability, the company has developed a reputation for cutting-edge perimeter security systems, including microphonic fence detection, electric fences, secure hatch protection and related detection solutions.
O’Reilly continued: “By combining our shared high-security expertise and brand credibility, we’re reinforcing our dual commitment to excellence in the market on both sides of the Atlantic. The scale of Hirsch worldwide will allow us to accelerate our investment in products, offer local time technical support across multiple time zones, provide more value for our customers and deliver a greater range of solutions for our partners.”
The combination realises significant benefits for customers throughout the UK as well as the Americas. Harper Chalice’s products will be sold and supported in the Americas as well as across their current reach encompassing Europe and the Middle East.
The full range of products provides an integrated suite of security solutions tailored to the most demanding environments and builds upon both companies’ remits as security providers to some of the most secure locations in both the UK and the USA.
Complete portfolio
Thibaut Galland, chief operating officer in the UK for the Vitaprotech Group, will be the business leader for the combined Hirsch UK company, in addition to continuing his role as managing director of access control specialist TDSi.
Galland commented: “This evolution underscores our dedication to providing a complete portfolio of world-class, high-security solutions in the UK. We believe that this change will put us in a stronger position for the future, duly leveraging our combined attributes to deliver even greater value for our clients.”
The move marks the first stage of planned strategic changes within the Vitaprotech Group since its acquisition of Hirsch back in September last year and enhances the Group’s offer in the UK and the US, ensuring expanded access to enterprise-scale, high-security solutions.
Going forward, current Harper Chalice customers can expect the same level of support and reliability under the new Hirsch name, with the added advantage of an enhanced product range and the benefits to be realised from technological innovation.
Founded in 1981, Hirsch has established itself as a leading high-security access control solutions provider for some of the world’s most demanding customers. In the US, the business secures multiple Federal Government agencies and Government departments.
Indeed, the business has become synonymous with Government-grade security and, true to its technology roots, has played a central and key role in shaping high-security standards for the US Government.
