Elmdene expands access control-focused power supply solutions

The business has developed a single-door power solution that’s cost-effective and may be easily integrated with widely used door controllers.

In fact, the company will be showcasing the ACCESS-PSU-N model at The Security Event which runs at the NEC in Birmingham from 7-9 September. The new unit offers 12 V, 2 A output plus 12 V standby battery charging and features an enclosure engineered to accommodate a single door controller. This ensures the “seamless operation” of access control.

The Security Event also represents the first official showcasing of Elmdene’s new lithium power supply. Specifically designed for security-centric applications, the lithium range offers high-performance battery power for easy integration into systems and equipment.

Featuring a12 V power supply with integrated LiFePO4 standby battery, this solution offers versatility for specialist installations and applications.

LiFePO4 battery technology allows continuous battery performance in higher temperature environments and is therefore ideal for smaller spaces or harsh environments. The technology affords an extended service life of up to ten years, thereby reducing maintenance and battery replacements.
