Gallagher’s Command Centre v8.50 delivers latest in smart technology

THE LATEST version of Gallagher’s award-winning site management software Command Centre has arrived, in turn bringing smart security technology to the forefront of this critical business sector.

The release of Command Centre v8.50 offers intelligent features including mobile credential syncing between sites, cutting-edge integrations and several enhancements for increased site security and user efficiency.

Intelligent advancements such as the cipher pad feature for Gallagher’s T20 and T21 readers ensure added layers of protection for high security sites requiring strengthened PIN safety. Cardholder PINs are protected from ‘shoulder-surfing’ by randomising keypad numbers when a card’s presented. There’s a capability to adapt functions for visually impaired users.

“We continually strive to ensure that we’re meeting our customers’ needs from smaller sites right through to high security facilities requiring an increased level of protection,” stated Meredith Palmer, chief product officer at Gallagher.

Palmer continued: “Smart features within the v8.50 release such as our cipher pad functionality, provide critical sites with flexibility, added security and the reassurance that they’re very well protected.”

Mobile Connect credentials

Thanks to this latest release, Mobile Connect credentials can be synchronised between trusted sites, thereby saving administration costs and providing a frictionless cardholder experience.

In addition, efficiency improvements with increased controller support allow more controllers in a single server environment. This reduces the overhead of controller communication on the server and, in addition, allows greater resource to serve other areas.

Customisable T20 and T21 reader messaging also provides better clarity for cardholders when entering or exiting a site, with customised access denied and granted display messages.

Enhancements to the TK Elevator integration allow sites to personalise each cardholder’s elevator journey with Passenger Options to suit their specific requirements. This functionality is ideal when managing ease of access for critical care within hospitals, for VIP personnel movement or for technical and service access needs.
