G4S wins security contract for FCDO buildings in London and South East

G4S SECURE Solutions UK has won a multi-million pound UK Government contract to provide Front of House and security services at a number of Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office buildings in London and the South East, including its London headquarters at King Charles Street.

Crown Commercial Services awarded G4S Secure Solutions UK the two-year contract, which will start on 1 June 2023.

Members of staff working for the incumbent contract holder will all be offered the opportunity to TUPE to Secure Solutions UK while any new recruits and current staff moving to work for G4S on the contract will be required to be security check cleared.

Those who do TUPE across to G4S Secure Solutions UK will benefit from access to professional development opportunities during their working hours, including webinars, training courses and knowledge-sharing sessions for industry leaders via the G4S Academy.

Significant win

Eddie Hirst, business development director for major projects at G4S Secure Solutions UK, stated: “This is a significant win for G4S in the UK and an amazing opportunity for us to work on behalf of what is one of the Great Offices of State. As part of this contract, we will be able to use a number of specialisms as and when the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office requires our assistance.”
