CORPS SECURITY has received a silver award from EcoVadis, the independent provider of business sustainability ratings for over 150,000 companies. The rating places the security solutions specialist among the top 15% of businesses assessed by EcoVadis in the past 12 months.
EcoVadis provides dynamic scorecards so that procurement teams can monitor the sustainability performance of their own organisations and trading partners.
The sustainability ratings provider scores organisations against four themes: environment, labour and Human Rights, sustainable procurement and ethics. These themes cover the whole lifecycle of a business under 21 sub-groups, from the impact of product use and end-of-life, employee Health and Safety, diversity and discrimination through to anti-corruption policies and supplier environmental practices.
Corps Security gained two points more than on the previous year’s assessment and scored highly across all areas, achieving advanced weightings in environment, labour and ethics, in addition to a good weighting for sustainable procurement.
In order to celebrate the improvement, EcoVadis planted a tree on behalf of Corps Security through its partner One Tree Planted.
Ongoing commitment
Sharon McLaren, quality and compliance manager at Corps Security, said: “Our improved score is testament to our ongoing commitment to sustainability and responsible business practice. As a social enterprise, our mission is to balance commercial success with positive social and environmental impact. This recognition from EcoVadis demonstrates that we are on the right path.”
Corps Security recently demonstrated its wider sustainable impact in the company’s 2025 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) report. That document details Corps Security’s gold certification from independent sustainability reporting accreditor Neutral Carbon Zone.
There’s also information on how 99% of all Corps Security colleagues earn at (or above) the Real Living Wage, the ESG Scrutiny Group’s work and the organisation’s growing spend with social enterprises.
