FOR CLOSE on ten years now, CONSULT has set the gold standard in the United States for strategic engagement between manufacturers and technical security consultants. Now, for the first time ever, three renowned industry leaders – namely Rick Mounfield CSyP FSyI, Mike O’Neill CSyP FSyI CPP PSP and Bruce Braes CSyP FSyI CPP PSP – are tailoring this experience to the European continent’s unique market, culture and consultancy landscape.
CONSULT Europe isn’t aiming to be ‘just another conference’. Rather, it’s positioned as a transformative weekend for technical security leaders. With a focus on quality conversations over quantity, the event offers roadmap sessions (ie ‘speed dating’-style engagements), extended round table dialogues, Continuing Professional Development-accredited learning (CENELEC/ASIS/BICSI equivalents) and evening socials/networking dinners hosted in relaxed and luxurious surroundings.
“For too long, the security sector has relied solely on crowded exhibition halls and transactional interactions to share innovation,” suggested Bruce Braes. “That approach has its place, but such an environment rarely allows for genuine understanding. CONSULT changes that dynamic entirely.”
Rick Mounfield added: “What draws me to this format is how naturally it nurtures trust. The European security landscape is ready for something that reflects our values and that’s what will make this event not only revolutionary, but restorative for our industry.”
Inaugural CONSULT Europe Symposium
The inaugural CONSULT Europe Symposium is taking place from 8-10 May 2026 at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, Wales. With this new format already proving popular among manufacturers, consultants, integrators and other security leaders in the States, the first-ever European counterpart is bringing together 60-plus high-influence technical consultants from across Europe. There will be representatives from the UK, Ireland, Germany, France, the Nordics, the Benelux region and Southern Europe.
They will be joined by 20 to 30 leading manufacturers in addition to key end users from the transport, infrastructure, finance, retail and Government sectors.
As part of its commitment to the development of the security community, CONSULT Europe is proud to sponsor the Association of Security Consultants’ annual flagship event, namely CONSEC 2025. As such, co-founders Mounfield, O’Neill and Braes will be attending CONSEC on 23 October at Hinxton Hall in Cambridge and connecting with those interested in learning more about the CONSULT Europe Symposium, its format and how to become involved with this initiative.
