Bidvest Noonan and Ward Security forge partnerships with ISRM

SECURITY SOLUTIONS providers Bidvest Noonan and Ward Security have entered into partnership arrangements with the Institute of Strategic Risk Management (ISRM), the London-based global organisation that enables practitioners, academics and policymakers alike to share information and advance their strategic risk and crisis management capabilities.

Significantly, the agreement forged with the ISRM by Bidvest Noonan allows its security officers, supervisors and managers access to new world-class and widely recognised security and risk management training programmes. By dint of its reach, the ISRM arrangement also expands Bidvest Noonan's international information-sharing network.

The business believes its new relationship with the ISRM will enable it to raise industry standards for training and professional development, increase threat intelligence and afford its myriad clients even greater competence and expertise.

Commenting on the new partnership, the ISRM’s executive director David Rubens CSyP FISRM (a guest on Episode 6 of the Security Matters Podcast) explained: “We’re delighted to have Bidvest Noonan’s support. It’s an outstanding business with deep expertise. I know that, together, and working with our international partners, we can advance our ability to manage the complex challenges presented by the modern world.”

Bidvest Noonan’s managing director Eddie Ingram responded: “I’m excited to partner with the ISRM and provide our colleagues with greater opportunities to learn and advance their careers. I’m confident that, by leveraging our combined strengths, we can move our industry forward and keep people safe.”

Corporate partnership

Ward Security’s new corporate partnership with the ISRM will also allow colleagues access to risk management training courses and serves to demonstrate the business’ ongoing commitment to facilitate upskilling right across the security business sector.

As many readers of Security Matters will be aware, the ISRM’s training programmes are delivered online by David Rubens and will allow Ward Security’s team members to continue their own professional development, including Level 4 and Level 5 training programmes. There are also options to provide senior managers with access to the Level 6 diploma programme.

Paul Harvey CSyP, chief commercial officer at Ward Security (whose own career journey is detailed on pp48-50 of the February edition of Security Matters) said: “This new partnership adds considerable value to our teams and keeps us up-to-date with the latest thinking on security and risk management during these challenging times. I’ve been impressed with the seminars and training that the ISRM has provided online. The organisation brings new and enlightened thinking to the table. I’m sure my colleagues will find the education programmes to be extremely valuable.”

David Rubens added: “As it becomes clear COVID is going to have an impact for the foreseeable future, an ongoing and easy-to-access professional development programme is a highly effective way in which to keep staff morale high and to help people feel connected to their own networks. We have had an incredible response to our training courses and we’re delighted to agree terms on this new corporate partnership with Ward Security.”

The ISRM operates 23 International Chapters including those in North America, the APAC region, the Middle East and Australasia. Further information is available online at www.theisrm.org
