AXIS GROUP Has appointed Billy Horgan as head of recruitment to further strengthen its people strategy to attract and retain the best talent across all parts of the business.
Billy joins from Hermes, where he was successfully tasked with reducing recruitment costs and bringing processes in house. He has also worked for facilities management and construction recruitment agencies, where he was responsible for setting team strategies and goals.
Billy has already organised regular recruitment open days, which have attracted an additional 120 security officers within the first three months. He has also introduced a new Applicant Tracking System that has streamlined the recruitment process, as well as providing further insight to Axis Group stakeholders. Internally, he is also promoting how existing staff can apply for new roles, to help further employee progression.
Jonathan Levine, Axis Group CEO, says that he has great confidence that Billy will help Axis Group deliver the best talent for their customers:
“I believe he will be an asset to the company, with the skills and knowhow to further raise our profile as an excellent business to work for.” he says. “The results so far have been impressive, and we are now receiving hundreds of applications for each role we advertise, almost instantly.”
Billy says that attracting a higher volume of candidates is key to his strategy: “By increasing the number of CVs we are sent, we have a higher chance to finding the quality that the business requires.
“I am looking forward to working with the Marketing team to help promote Axis Group to potential employees, and further improving the careers function on our website. I believe technology is key to ensuring Axis Group stays at the forefront of the industry in terms of attracting, and just as importantly, retaining talent.”
