Ajax Systems joins “growing list” of Skills for Security sponsors

THE SKILLS for Security sponsorship package, which is designed to address the industry’s skills crisis, goes from strength to strength with the news that Ajax Systems has now joined the growing list of supporters.

With a great many challenges facing the sector at present, in particular the estimated shortfall of circa 30,000 engineers, the ‘skills crisis’ is exerting a long-term effect on the entire industry supply chain for both the security and fire sectors.

As the largest provider of security and fire-focused apprenticeships in the UK, Skills for Security’s recently launched sponsorship initiative is specifically designed to encourage leading brands to invest in the next generation of talent.

Ajax Systems is the latest business in the security sector to offer its support and become a partner. The newest Ajax Systems technologies will now be rolled out across Skills for Security’s training centres, in turn offering a new service to apprentices and the opportunity for them to upskill on the latest products and solutions.

Forefront of technology

David Scott, managing director of Skills for Security, commented: “Skills for Security wants to work with those at the forefront of technology and deliver quality products, which will give us the best opportunity to attract the best up-and-coming talent into the sector. Ajax Systems ticks all of the boxes. We’re very excited that the company has signed on the dotted line to become a partner of Skills for Security.”

Sam Griffiths, technical director for Ajax Systems in the UK, observed: “Having innovative technology from Ajax Systems within the Skills for Security training centres will allow us to deliver a new service for apprentices whereby we can upskill them on the latest products and technology within the sector, while in parallel raising brand awareness across the UK of the products offered by the company.”

Griffiths continued: “It’s a real opportunity for engineers to become highly skilled professionals who’ll drive the whole security market in the UK.”

Ajax Systems’ products are used to protect over two million end users across the globe. The company’s solutions include those for smart home automation, wireless and wired intruder alarm systems, fire safety and leak detection systems.

Showcasing opportunities

By forging partnerships with companies like Ajax Systems, Skills for Security is showcasing the opportunities that now exist in the security and fire sectors and, by extension, changing the perception of both industries.

One of the key aims is to highlight to future apprentices interested in the world of ‘tech’ that, when it comes to their career options, they should be seriously considering roles in the security and fire industries.
