Abloy introduces OS Incedo access management solution for end users

ABLOY OY – part of ASSA ABLOY – has unveiled its latest solution for physical access management. Abloy OS Incedo is designed to provide enhanced digital security and access management as well as situational awareness for practising security professionals all in one cloud-based application. It helps in solving the common challenges faced by security and facility managers when it comes to costly and time-consuming access management.

The solution has been developed for use in professional end user operations across numerous key verticals and sectors, among them banking, ICT, healthcare, museums, defence, Government, leisure and manufacturing.

“The move into using digitally operated access control systems is evident,” said Jussi Ahvalo, vice-president of international sales at Abloy Oy. “In the recent Wireless Access Control Report 2021 produced by ASSA ABLOY, only 23% of end users indicated that they don’t operate an electronic system. That’s one clear reason why we wanted to introduce new access management options specifically for our customers.”

Combining mechanical and electronic locking in one solution, Abloy OS Incedo connects the management of all mechanical, electromechanical and digital Abloy solutions into one cloud-based application. By providing tracking and intelligent key management for many different types of keys (including mechanical), customers can prevent unauthorised key access, improve operational efficiency and reduce running costs.

The range of solutions that can be connected to Abloy OS Incedo includes, for example, Protec2 CLIQ key-based digital cylinders, a variety of digital access devices and a wide selection of mechanical key management features. Abloy OS Incedo forms the latest addition to Abloy’s dedicated Security and Access Solutions portfolio.

Situational awareness

A visual map-based interface offers situational awareness any time, anywhere. Featuring a user-friendly, highly visual map-based interface, organisations can realise all of the security details that cover their operation in one application.

Core features also include role-based permissions, area-based access management and detailed audit trails of every lock and key. With extended in-depth reports, customers have transparency and clear control of their users, access rights management and security.

Maps, dynamic icons and building plans can be uploaded and customised according to customers’ individual needs. This allows more visibility and situational awareness in day-to-day security management.

Abloy OS Incedo is licensed and delivered to customers on a Software-as-a-Service basis. The system will be set up, hosted and continuously updated by the global Abloy service and support teams.
