Ward Security celebrates excellence at 2022 Star Awards

THE 2022 Star Awards organised by Ward Security took place on the evening of Wednesday 4 May at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in central London. The annual Star Awards represent the pinnacle of Ward Security’s reward and recognition programme, duly celebrating success and excellence.

Throughout the year, Ward Security employees have the opportunity to be nominated by their clients, managers, colleagues and members of the public in recognition of excellence, professionalism and commitment displayed during their day-to-day duties.

This year, no fewer than 39 winners were selected across the categories of Service Excellence, Outstanding Acts, Security Team and the Managing Director’s Award.

Over 160 people attended the event including winners and finalists, their partners, clients, colleagues, industry leaders, senior police officers and friends, with the evening serving to highlight how Ward Security colleagues go ‘above and beyond’ in their work. In 2022, over 60 employees were nominated to receive a Star Award.

The company was also delighted to be joined by three of the charities with whom Ward Security works closely right across the country: Young Hackney, Dandelion Time and Forever Manchester. Representatives from each of the charities shared what they do and how Ward Security has a positive impact in enabling them to reach their goals. All three charities support the communities in which Ward Security operates. This is a key element of the latter’s ongoing sustainability agenda.

Professionalism and commitment

Speaking about the annual Star Awards, Ward Security’s managing director Kevin Ward commented: “I continue to be blown away by the team that we have here at Ward. Every single person goes above and beyond every day and it makes me so proud. We’ve been running this initiative for 15 years now and every year the professionalism and commitment of ‘Team Ward’ continues to amaze me. This year is no different.”

He added: “At Ward, we put our people first, so being able to celebrate ‘Team Ward’ among colleagues, clients and friends is so special. I just want to thank everyone who joined me at the Star Awards and also say a huge well done to our winners, finalists and nominees.”
