PERIMETER PROTECTION solutions developer Hörmann UK has reported a successful first appearance at the International Security Expo, where the company showcased a selection of its established perimeter protection solutions designed to help safeguard critical infrastructure, public spaces and commercial premises against hostile vehicle-centred threats.
The Nineteen Group-organised Expo, which ran at London’s Olympia on 29-30 September, realised a valuable opportunity for Hörmann UK to engage with security professionals and demonstrate the breadth of the company’s capabilities in the Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM) market.
Hörmann UK colleagues were joined at the exhibition by Alessandra Acerbis (sales and marketing manager for Pilomat). Part of the Hörmann Group, Pilomat is a European manufacturer of high-security bollards and road blockers, bringing extensive specialist expertise in perimeter protection and HVM.
The stand at Olympia featured a selection of products showcasing Hörmann’s capabilities, including the M30 road blocker, the OktaBlock mobile security bollard and automatic high-security bollards.
During the Expo, an impressive number of qualified leads were generated from security professionals, consultants, specifiers and end users alike, with potential projects identified across critical infrastructure, public sector and commercial applications.
Evolving threats
Mark Wood, perimeter protection systems manager at Hörmann UK, explained: “International Security Expo exceeded our expectations, particularly as this was the first time Hörmann had exhibited at the show. Over the two days, we were able to meet with a wide spectrum of prospective customers and clients. It proved to be an ideal opportunity to demonstrate how our certified perimeter protection solutions can help secure sites and events against evolving threats.”
Wood continued: “The Expo was such a success that we’ve already booked our stand for the 2027 show. We look forward to building on the contacts and opportunities generated as we continue to strengthen our position in the rapidly growing HVM market.”
