SECURITY AND Policing, the official UK Government global security event, returns to the Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre from 12-14 March. Hosted by the Home Office’s Joint Security and Resilience Centre, Security and Policing focuses on the latest advances in delivering national security and resilience.
Leading UK solution suppliers, UK and overseas Government officials and senior decision-makers from across the law enforcement and security sectors will be in attendance.
As always, there’s no general admittance to Security and Policing. All visitors and exhibitors are subject to Home Office approval. Further information and registration details for Security and Policing 2024 can be accessed online.
NaCTSO Business Conference
The National Counter-Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO) has outlined the detail underpinning the NaCTSO Business Conference, which will be taking place on 14 March as part of the aforementioned Security and Policing event.
This year’s conference will focus on two key themes: NaCTSO’ s practical solutions to defeat terrorist threats and Counter Terrorism Policing’s local approach to supporting business and communities.
The terrorism threat landscape is one of the topics being covered. There’s going to be some announcements and presentations on new and updated guidance and resources and panel discussion involving representatives from NaCTSO, Counter Terrorism Policing, the Homeland Security Group and those supporting local business and communities.
Conference runs from 10.30 am until 1.30 pm. During the breaks, guests will have the opportunity to network with NaCTSO staff and like-minded business professionals.
Those industry practitioners interested in attending this conference can register their interest online.
NaCTSO exhibitors
During the three days of the Security and Policing event, visitors will also have the opportunity meet members of NaCTSO in the Government Zone.
This year will see key representatives from numerous teams leading the delivery of protective security and preparedness capabilities:
*12 March: National Vehicle Threat Mitigation Unit
*13 March: Aviation Security and Maritime Unit
*14 March: Research and Product Development Unit
Members of the NaCTSO Business Engagement Unit will also be discussing NaCTSO’s commitment to Martyn’s Law and outlining the detail of how NaCTSO is supporting businesses and organisations in protecting their customers, members of staff and visitors from the terrorism threat.
