Reliance High-Tech commits to Armed Forces Covenant

The award is bestowed upon those organisations pledging, demonstrating and/or advocating support for the national defence and Armed Forces community and who align their values with the Armed Forces Covenant. The latter is a promise made that those who serve – or have served – in the Armed Forces, and their family members, should be treated fairly and not face disadvantages.

Reliance High-Tech has enjoyed a long-standing relationship with the Armed Forces and plays an active role in Armed Forces Week as well as raising funds for SSAFA, which was its chosen charity of the year back in 2019. The management team at Reliance High-Tech agreed to one day of paid leave for all staff members who actively volunteered their time to help with SSAFA’s ongoing charitable projects.

David Walton, director of finance at Reliance High-Tech, stated: “We have always actively employed individuals from the Armed Forces. The bronze award formally recognises the approach taken by the business and we are proud to have achieved this status.”

The Armed Forces Covenant is open to all kinds of organisations, not just security companies. Currently, upwards of 10,000 businesses have signed up to show their support for ex-Armed Forces and reservist personnel.
