Register of Chartered Security Professionals hosts 2024 Annual Dinner

THE EVENING of 23 September witnessed the Register of Chartered Security Professionals (CSyPs) hosting its Annual Dinner at The Ironmonger’s Hall in central London, with speeches delivered by Don Randall MBE CSyP FSyI (one of the founders of the Register) and Ian Dyson QPM DL, the new chair of the Chartered Security Professionals Registration Authority.

In his formal opening address, Don Randall welcomed all new CSyPs and guests before speaking passionately about the enduring success of the Register and its increasing importance in the security profession.

For his part, Ian Dyson spoke of his pride at being appointed chair, while also referencing the enduring legacy of his predecessor, the late and very much missed Baroness Ruth Henig CBE JP DL.

Dyson’s delivery was followed by a typically rousing speech from Mike Bluestone CSyP FSyI, who read the citations of all the new members in attendance (more of whom anon) receiving their CSyP certificates.

Following on from a three-course dinner, there was a final keynote address by a spokesperson from the National Authority for Counter-Eavesdropping (NACE) before Don Randall closed the night’s proceedings with a special thanks to new Chartership administrator Andreea Mocanu BA (Hons) MBA and Chartership consultant Di Thomas Hon FSyI for their hard work over the previous months.

Special thanks were also afforded to the sponsors of the evening, namely The Worshipful Company of Security Professionals, Nineteen Group and LMS Security Advisors. Their dedication is key when it comes to making events such as this one a success for the Register of Chartered Security Professionals.
