SECURITY TECHNOLOGY manufacturer Paxton Access – the developer of IP access control, door entry and video management systems for smart buildings – has won the International Business Award bestowed as part of the ‘Surrey Kent Sussex 250’, an annual listing organised by The Business Magazine that celebrates the top performing 250 privately-owned businesses (measured by annual turnover) in the Surrey, Kent and Sussex regions.
The ‘Surrey Kent Sussex 250’ event is sponsored by BDO, CMA Recruitment, HSBC UK, Irwin Mitchell and Zeus. Representatives from Paxton were recently invited to attend the 2022 ceremony, which took place at the RAC Club in Epsom.
Nick Lawden, export account manager for Paxton (who attended the event) commented: “Our products are designed in-house at the Paxton Technology Centre in Brighton and manufactured in Eastbourne. We’re proud to be a British manufacturer and a global company. This award is great acknowledgement for our teams all over the world and makes us all immensely proud.”
Gareth O’Hara, chief sales officer at Paxton, added: “We are working hard every day to ensure that we serve all customers globally with simple, innovative and quality products. As ever, we will continue to work closely with our customers in all international markets to understand their needs in order to continue developing smart solutions. Being recognised by awards like this shows us that we’re travelling in the right direction.”
Sales appointment
In further good news for the business, which exports to over 60 countries worldwide, Dan Drayton has been promoted to divisional director responsible for EMEA.
Drayton has been with the business for nearly ten years. During that time, he has guided the company's team of business development experts in France, Germany, South Africa, the Middle East and Scandinavia, with Drayton’s new appointment all about growing market share in the years ahead.
Drayton explained: “This new role is an exciting opportunity for me and a challenge I’m eager to embark upon. The EMEA region includes our largest market, of course, which remains the UK. I’m going to continue to work with our sales teams at home and internationally to ensure that Paxton delivers world-class services and products.”
Congratulating Drayton, Gareth O’Hara responded: “We are very happy to see Dan marking another milestone in his career, with this promotion adding more resilience to our global sales organisation. We invest in our people to help them achieve their goals and firmly believe that growing with our employees is essential to our success. Dan is a highly skilled and passionate professional who puts customer experience at the heart of everything he does.”
