IPSA appoints duo of new directors in pivotal Board roles

THE INTERNATIONAL Professional Security Association (IPSA) has appointed Arsalan Khan as director of events and crowd safety and Paul Macarthur in the role of director of partnerships and sponsorship.

Khan is Group CEO of the K4 Group of Companies (including K4 Security Services) and boasts 20 years’ worth of security and policing experience having started out as a safety steward before working his way up to senior management and strategic leadership.

A qualified safety officer, Khan is also an accredited security trainer for several recognised awarding bodies, delivering training programmes that support the professional development of individuals entering and then progressing within the security sector.

Paul Macarthur (pictured) brings over 30 years’ experience in the industry to the role. He has worked at large-scale organisations and SMEs in roles from security officer all the way through to senior leadership positions (including operations director and business owner).

Founder of SGC Security Services (the company being an IPSA Corporate Member), Macarthur (a member of The Security Institute) is suitably placed to work closely with national clients, regulatory bodies and industry partners alike in raising the profile of IPSA both within the UK and internationally.

Vital role

Arsalan Khan commented: “I’ve always believed that professional bodies such as IPSA play a vital role in shaping the future of the security profession by virtue of promoting professionalism, encouraging collaboration and supporting the continuous improvement of standards across the sector.”

Khan added: “I welcome this opportunity to contribute my experience and perspective to support IPSA’s continued growth, influence and positive impact within the profession.”

Paul Macarthur observed: “I believe my personal and professional values closely align with those of IPSA and I feel this is the right time for me to contribute further by offering my experience, guidance and leadership to help support the industry through its next phase of evolution.”

Front line insight

Satia Rai, CEO at IPSA, stated: “I’m delighted to welcome two exceptionally experienced directors to IPSA. Both bring front line insight, a strong track record of leadership and, most importantly, values that are truly aligned with our own. Their journeys reflect the very essence of our sector. I have no doubt that they will play a pivotal role in accelerating IPSA’s continued growth and global impact.”

Both directors take up their positions on the IPSA Board with immediate effect.
