IDIS unveils video tech launches with innovation-rich Virtual Showcase

The Virtual Showcase is designed to replicate the exhibition experience, duly taking visitors on a tour of the latest IDIS products and technologies, with features and functions explained and application examples included.

The soon-to-be-launched IDIS AI Box for COVID-19 (DV-2232) appliance has been designed to support safe return to the workplace strategies for a range of industry sectors. It includes applications for social distancing adherence, people counting, occupancy monitoring, crowd control, face detection and also dedicated reporting tools.

Visitors to the Virtual Showcase will also see the next generation IDIS deep learning analytics featuring 98% accurate Artificial Intelligence-assisted notification for object, intrusion and loitering detection, as well as tools that leverage metadata to enable more reliable detection, better identification, easier verification and the more rapid investigation of incidents.

IDIS’s new Mobile Plus app affords much-needed assistance for those customers ‘on the move’ by putting the vital tools and functions of the IDIS Solution Suite VMS directly into their hands, wherever they are and whenever they need them. IDIS Mobile Plus features an improved and more user-friendly interface with split screens and portrait modes, as well as push alarm notifications for improved situational awareness and enhanced remote management of both single and multiple facilities.

Education, banking and logistics sectors

The Virtual Showcase also highlights IDIS’ solutions for the education, banking and logistics sectors encompassing the latest cameras and software enhancements that solve common security and safety challenges. There’s also detail on the risks and challenges specific to each sector and how IDIS can assist in addressing them.

Retail is also a particular focus, with the IDIS end-to-end solution for the sector now including the IDIS 2 MP micro dome camera featuring an adapted anti-IR reflection bubble for discrete yet high performance surveillance in all lighting conditions and the 5 MP Compact IR Super Fisheye camera. The latter offers a low profile and powerful 360° coverage, meaning lower equipment, installation and maintenance costs.

In addition, there’s the new DV-1104 VA in the Box which provides essential retail analytics including people counting, heat mapping and queue management. A simple plug-and-play add-on to existing DirectIP NVR set-ups, it allows the centralised management of operational data from single or multiple stores and comes with zero licensing fees and no update costs.
