Gunnebo Entrance Control introduces HiSec Nova security portal

Developed for environments where organisations require effective control of authorised entrance without the need for ballistic or attack-rated protection, HiSec Nova combines advanced detection capabilities with a compact footprint and simplified installation as well as servicing.

At the heart of the system is Visira, a newly developed detection technology available in two configurations. Using high-density digital sensing technology and engineered algorithms, Visira verifies occupancy within the portal to support accurate single person detection.

For applications requiring enhanced analysis, Visira Omni combines dual-camera technology with Artificial Intelligence-driven image analytics to deliver volumetric 3D passage analysis and accurate people counting. Unlike traditional volume-based systems, it can distinguish between individuals and carried items, helping to maintain detection accuracy in more complex access scenarios.

HiSec Nova also introduces SmoothDrive, a newly developed drive mechanism engineered to improve portal operation and long-term performance. The system delivers controlled and near-silent movement, while integrated impact detection contributes towards both user safety and system durability.

Supporting these technologies is NexusCore, an electronics architecture that processes information in milliseconds, enabling rapid system responses, while co-ordinating sensing, control and mechanical functions throughout the portal.

Fresh look
