THE LATEST Gallagher Security Command Centre v9.50 release is purpose-designed to help organisations achieve more with their security investment. Headlining the release is the full integration of AccessNow, the company’s cloud-native platform that automates the entire access and credential request process from request all the way through to approval and provisioning.
Josh Arnold, chief product officer at Gallagher Security, has stated that granting access remains a largely manual process for many of today’s organisations, with requests handled via e-mail and approvals often delayed or lost.
Arnold observed: “AccessNow transforms this experience by enabling end users to submit requests from any device, automatically routing approvals to the right individuals and provisioning access directly within Command Centre once approved.”
Further, Arnold stated: “At its core, AccessNow removes friction by enabling configurable workflows. Security teams can define and tailor automation to handle the full range of access requests that are received.”
Command Centre v9.50 also introduces a range of new capabilities that streamline processes, improve accessibility and unlock greater insight from security systems, thereby enabling organisations to operate more efficiently, while in tandem strengthening protection.
The latest release for Command Centre v9.50 reflects Gallagher’s ongoing commitment to practical innovation that delivers real operational value.
Biometric capabilities
“A new PIN Exemption feature is introduced,” noted Arnold, “providing a flexible accessibility option. This allows organisations to exempt individuals from PIN entry requirements in card + PIN secured areas, supporting both temporary and permanent accessibility needs without compromising broader security settings.”
Further expanding biometric capabilities, Command Centre v9.50 now supports the VisionPass SP Fingerscan Module. By combining facial recognition and fingerprint scanning within a single device, the solution provides flexible authentication options that can operate independently or together, ensuring reliable access in a wide range of conditions.
In addition, the Command Centre release strengthens integration and data capabilities, with a new Reporting Dataset enabling Command Centre to connect with third party analytics platforms including Power BI, Tableau and Excel. This allows organisations to extract greater value from their security data by combining it with broader business intelligence tools.
“Command Centre v9.50 is another step forward in the value security solutions deliver,” affirmed Arnold. “Security teams are under increasing pressure to do more with less, while managing growing complexity. This release reiterates Gallagher’s commitment to automating manual elements, improving accessibility for all users and giving organisations the insights they need to make smarter decisions on a faster basis.”
