THE ORGANISERS of the UK Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) have announced the finalists for the 2023 edition. Now in their seventh year, the UK OSPAs serve to acknowledge the creditable and outstanding contributions that companies, initiatives, teams and individuals make to the security industry and wider community. The OSPAs recognise exceptional performance in different categories.
Professor Martin Gill CSyP FSyI, founder of the OSPAs, commented: “The standard of entries for the 2023 competition has once again been extremely high, providing some real challenges for our Judging Panel of 30 industry experts, all of whom marked independently to a set of ethical guidelines.”
Gill continued: “This time around, the UK OSPAs have generated the most entries we’ve ever received, with some categories boasting upwards of 50 nominations. I know there will be disappointment for those who haven’t made the list of finalists. Reaching this stage is a major achievement requiring entries to attain a score threshold, while we have to cap the number of finalists at a maximum of ten per category. Exceptional work is taking place to keep us all safe and secure and I applaud all of those involved.”
The finalists will now go forward to the next phase of the competition and the winners will be announced at the UK OSPAs ceremony, which takes place on Thursday 23 February 2023 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in central London.
