EUROPEAN TECHNOLOGY specialist EET has become a nationwide distributor for Dahua Technology. In addition to surveillance and security equipment, the business is one of Europe’s largest distributors of spare parts and accessories for computers, printers, mobile phones and Point-of-Sale products.
The company distributes a wide range of leading brands within these product divisions, with Bosch, Star Micronics, Ubiquiti and HP being among them. Supporting more than 43,000 resellers and facilitating upwards of 1,000,000 deliveries each year, the company is staffed by over 500 employees.
Next day delivery is available from a central logistics centre in Copenhagen while a new UK facility in Uxbridge further supports customer requirements.
Wealth of experience
“We’re delighted to announce EET as a new and highly valued distributor of Dahua products in the UK market,” said James Wang, overseas vice-president and UK and Ireland country manager for Dahua. “As a niche technology distributor, EET brings a wealth of experience from multiple sectors and works with many customers. We’re pleased the business has determined to work in partnership with us as we grow the market and sector, driving innovation towards an AIoT future.”
The Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) is the combination of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies with the Internet of Things (IoT) infrastructure to achieve more efficient IoT operations, improve human-machine interactions and enhance data management and analytics.
Dahua has recently taken a leading role in AIoT, which in essence enables IoT devices to feature AI capabilities, in turn delivering intelligent and connected video-based solutions that are capable of self-learning and analysing data. This means that video can be seamlessly extended to non-security applications, such as fire detection and suppression, video analytics, facial recognition and ANPR, payments and attendance and also retail analytics.
Breadth of products
“Supporting our customers is critical and having Dahua Technology on board strengthens our offer enormously,” enthused Sunil Bouri, managing director of EET UK. “The breadth and depth of its product portfolio enables our customers to offer new value-added solutions. We now look forward to working with both Dahua and our customers to enable significant growth.”
Dahua Technology is a video-centric smart IoT solutions and service provider that creates advanced security solutions for transportation, education, city surveillance, retail and commercial markets worldwide. The company’s focus on technical innovation is reflected in the fact that over 10% of its annual turnover is invested in R&D.
With operational bases in Maidenhead and Leeds, Dahua (together with its distribution partners) serves an ever-growing network of integrators and installers with complete system solutions encompassing cameras, control equipment, recording, video walls, software and accessories. The company now has distribution partners in over 180 countries.
