CYBER SECURITY company Bridewell has added to its extensive list of accreditations by becoming a Cyber Incident Exercising (CIE) Assured Service Provider with the Government’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC). Bridewell, in fact, now holds the most NCSC accreditations in the UK.
Providing global, 24-7 managed detection and response services and cyber security consultancy, Bridewell has been certified to develop and deliver controlled, scenario-based and tailored exercises in line with the NCSC’s CIE Technical Standard. This allows customers to assess and optimise their cyber incident response plans against operational, financial and regulatory risks.
Under the scheme, Bridewell is assured to provide two key services for its client base. First, the delivery of approved table-top exercises designed to evaluate a given organisation’s roles and responsibilities, expected activities and key decision points in accordance with incident response plans.
Second, Bridewell can provision live-play exercises wherein team members carry out their roles and responsibilities from their normal work environment within a given cyber incident scenario, with activities and decisions assessed in real-time in order to gauge where improvements might be made.
As part of its membership, Bridewell will share limited, non-attributable information with the NCSC about conducted exercises to help shape future UK cyber security advice and guidance.
Effectiveness assessments
“In becoming a CIE Assured Service Provider under the requirements of the NCSC, our experts can help organisations to assess the current effectiveness of their incident response plans against a range of emerging threats,” explained Martin Riley, director of managed security services at Bridewell. “We’re extremely proud to have gained the distinction of holding the most NCSC accreditations for cyber security in the UK.”
The corresponding launch of the CIE Scheme in December 2023 now provides organisations with the opportunity to access CIE Assured Service Providers to benefit from bespoke table-top or live-play cyber incident exercises.
With extensive experience in delivering large-scale transformational projects in highly regulated environments, Bridewell enables organisations to drive strategic change securely, providing a full breadth of end-to-end cyber security services. Its expert team comprises a diverse range of highly skilled consultants, supported by industry-leading technology, deep technical expertise, accredited methodologies and a client-centric approach to driving business.
Bridewell delivers a vast number of services across Critical National Infrastructure, aviation, financial services, the Government sector and the oil and gas space.
The company holds a number of industry accreditations including those gained through CREST, CHECK, ASSURE, the IASME Consortium and SOC2. Those accreditations include Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 27001 and ISO 9001.
