B4 Secure unveils enhanced investigative service to combat fraud

B4 SECURE – the dedicated threat monitoring and intelligence services provider – has launched an enhanced investigative service designed to help businesses address the growing threat posed by financial frauds and other major crimes, as well as meet new regulatory requirements around fraud prevention.

Given the surge in reported fraud cases – fraud, in fact, has now become the highest reported form of crime in the UK – alongside the introduction of the ‘failure to prevent fraud’ offence realised by the Government through the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act, B4 Secure has proactively expanded its services and team.

This latest move is a strategic response set in motion to meet the evolving needs of clients and the increasing market demand for comprehensive investigative solutions.

Underpinning this expansion is the addition of Ian (Jake) Jacobson, Kevin Pellow, Jerry Millman and Andrew James to B4 Secure’s intelligence and analysis team. These highly experienced and accredited investigators bring an illustrious track record in both civil and criminal litigation to bear, marked by successful outcomes, prosecutions and the recovery of millions of pounds’ worth of assets.

With expertise spanning cryptocurrency, the detection of money laundering and battling serious crime, these investigators enhance B4 Secure’s capabilities to effectively combat multifaceted fraud challenges.

Breadth of expertise

Julie Nel MA MSyI, founder and CEO at B4 Secure (and chair of The Security Institute), informed Security Matters: “We’re pleased to welcome Ian, Kevin, Jerry and Andrew to the B4 Secure family and very confident that their breadth of expertise will significantly contribute to our mission of ensuring secure and resilient environments for our clients’ businesses.”

Nel continued: “Andy brings in exceptional leadership skills having led on many serious crime investigations. Ian has a background in complex financial crime investigations and Jerry’s expertise lies in supporting international corporations with fraud investigations. Last, but not least, Kevin’s experience as a disclosure officer and specialist interviewer ensures our team has expertise in every aspect of fraud investigations.”

The investigative service not only aims to fortify B4 Secure’s ability to respond to existing threats, but also proactively prevent potential risks. It focuses on an holistic approach that includes early detection, meticulous analysis and strategic prevention, ultimately safeguarding businesses against substantial losses and reputational damage.
