ASIS International opens registrations for Global Security Exchange 2021

ASIS INTERNATIONAL has opened the registration process for the 2021 edition of its Global Security Exchange (GSX). The hybrid event takes place from 27-29 September and offers a digital experience on the GSX online platform as well as an in-person event at the Orange County Convention Centre in Orlando.

“Building resilience among security professionals begins with knowledge,” suggested John Petruzzi Jr CPP, the 2021 president of ASIS International. “GSX is the perfect environment for global security professionals to up their security game. It’s a particularly powerful tool for them and I’m excited that we’re able to offer the GSX 2021 experience to global participants both in an in-person and an online digital format.”

ASIS International’s foremost priority is the Health and Safety of GSX stakeholders: attendees, exhibitors, speakers, sponsors, staff and vendors. The Orange County Convention Centre is one of the largest venues in the US to receive the Global Biorisk Advisory Council’s STAR accreditation, which is recognised as the third party ‘Gold Standard’ for cleanliness and disease prevention. The venue’s management is collaborating with Orlando Health – itself an established healthcare system provider – to create a ground-breaking medical concierge program for conventions.

Further, the Orange County Convention Centre’s management team will continue to evaluate its response and consult with health-focused and industry experts to ensure the implementation of rigorous biorisk protocols in response to the ongoing health emergency.

ASIS is also pleased to announce its partnership with Safe Expo – the ervice provider for pre-event health planning support, on-site implementation and post-event health monitoring – as an additional precaution to ensure a safe and healthy environment for those attending GSX 2021 in person.

New rules of engagement

If security is an endless game of offence and defence, the stakes have never been higher. As quickly as new threats are thwarted, new vulnerabilities are exposed, with cyber security attacks growing more organised by the day and physical security experiencing unprecedented challenges of its own. New risks require new rules of engagement. To this end, GSX will offer security professionals the tools they need to remain at the top of their game.

The GSX All-Access Pass unlocks six themed learning theatres and upwards of 80 live sessions, including inspiring education sessions, expert-led tracks, exhibitor presentations, timely general sessions and digital content that will be available to view before, during and after the on-site event. All-Access Pass registrants will be able to access GSX sessions through until 31 December and are eligible to receive up to 21 CPEs towards recertification. The full session line-up will be revealed very shortly.

Those planning to attend GSX in person will have lots of opportunities to visit a vibrant trade show, connect with industry leaders to discuss today’s most critical issues, benefit from an advanced look at the latest innovations and gain insight on powerful strategies to foil attacks that could potentially compromise an organisation’s safety.

For those attending digitally, ASIS International has further refined its approach. From the first digital kick-off event on 15 September right through until 31 December, GSX registrants will be able to connect to the global security community and thought leadership at every turn. They can access live-streamed events from two learning theatres, engage in live Q&As and speaker interviews during preview and encore events and know what’s happening each step of the way through the GSX platform.
