TODD RESEARCH, the developer of threat detection X-ray equipment for safety and security applications, has received a Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation 2022 for its TR15 and TR40 cabinet X-ray scanners.
The prestigious award recognises Todd Research’s ongoing mission to develop innovative threat detection solutions and services, and further cements its position at the forefront of the security sector in this specialist arena.
Based in Cambridgeshire, Todd Research boasts a 70-year history of designing, manufacturing and supplying X-ray scanners, metal detectors and blast suppression equipment across a diverse range of public and private markets.
Cabinet X-ray scanners lie at the heart of the business. The company developed the world’s first mailroom X-ray scanner back in 1973. Since then, Todd Research’s skilled team has remained focused on R&D, advancing and expanding its product portfolio to cover a wide range of innovative security solutions, each designed to aid the detection of suspect materials.
This forward-thinking approach, combined with precision manufacturing, has enabled the company to grow from a local operation to become a global enterprise, with customers in over 80 countries.
Jason Wakefield, sales director at Todd Research, informed Security Matters: “Being honoured with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise is a testament to the constant endeavours of all the staff members here at Todd Research. We’re extremely proud to have received this prestigious accolade for our contribution to global threat detection solutions.”
