FOLLOWING ON from its representatives’ inaugural meeting with Security Minister Dan Jarvis MBE, the Security Industry Authority and the Home Office, the S12 Security Guarding Leadership Group has opened an industry-wide consultation designed to identify the key priorities that will shape its agenda and future workstreams.
The S12 Group is inviting security professionals, businesses, clients and stakeholders from across the security guarding sector to share their views on the most pressing challenges and opportunities facing the industry.
The collective input realised will then play a crucial role in determining which workstreams should be prioritised, ensuring that the S12 Group’s efforts are focused on delivering meaningful impact for the sector and, indeed, the wider public.
In order to contribute their views and assist in shaping the direction of the S12 Group’s work, interested parties are invited to complete the consultation survey online at https://form.jotform.com/252754994168069
The consultation survey will remain open until 3.00 pm on 15 October. Once that process is closed, the S12 Group will meet on 17 October to analyse the results, confirm the final workstreams and appoint an S12 member to lead on each one of them. These workstreams and their objectives will then be presented to the Security Minister on 21 October.
Appointed leads will then begin direct engagement with the industry to establish Working Groups that will support progress on each workstream’s objectives. The confirmed workstreams will be formally announced to the industry and stakeholders by 24 October.
The S12 Security Guarding Leadership Group brings together senior leaders from across the security guarding industry to collaborate with Government, regulators and stakeholders on key issues impacting the sector. The S12 Group’s mandate is to address and elevate critical industry issues, promote higher standards and professionalism, enhance public safety and positively shape the perception of the security guarding sector.
