Land Sheriffs achieves Highfield Approved Centre certification

Highfield is a leading Awarding Organisation regulated by bodies including Ofqual, CCEA and the Security Industry Authority. The organisation focuses in particular on compliance and work-based learning, with over 600 qualifications designed to elevate skills and careers.

As a Highfield Approved Centre, Land Sheriffs is now an approved training provider able to deliver industry-recognised training and examinations, which then lead to qualifications awarded by Highfield Qualifications.

“As we work in high-risk environments,” explained James Coyle (managing director of Land Sheriffs), “training, examinations and qualifications are extremely important to ensure that our team members are equipped with the essential knowledge and skills they need to keep people, property, infrastructure and assets safe.”

Front line security 

Land Sheriffs delivers front line security – including mobile patrols, security guarding, welfare patrol teams and surveillance deployment and monitoring – for clients across a range of sectors, among them the rail industry.

In order to receive this certification, members of staff, training materials and examination processes were thoroughly vetted, with those policies in place (including quality assurance, privacy and data management), as well as tutors and assessors required to meet the necessary high standards.

As an Approved Centre, Land Sheriffs now benefits from timely and trusted updates on key regulatory changes, a library of books, kits and presentations to aid teaching and the kudos to be derived from Government-regulated, industry-recognised and expert-led qualifications.

ISO accreditation 

In addition to being a Highfield Approved Centre, Land Sheriffs boasts triple ISO accreditation (ie ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001). The company is now working towards ISO 27001 accreditation.
